Lebanon is a country located in the Middle East, known for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. However, the country has been facing a severe economic and political crisis since 2019, which has worsened the situation for vulnerable populations such as children, displaced, and impoverished individuals.

Overview

We want all of Lebanon’s children, mothers, and families to be able to lead healthy and productive lives, and we want the country’s most marginalized people to have opportunities to lift themselves out of poverty. To work toward these goals, we partner with the government, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

Challenge Facing Lebanon

Lebanon faces significant challenges in terms of child poverty, access to education and healthcare, and displacement. It is crucial to address these issues to ensure that vulnerable populations, particularly children, have access to the basic services they need to thrive. Governments, non-governmental organizations, and individuals can play a role in providing support and resources to these communities to help them overcome these challenges.

Overview Of The Situation

The Displacement Problem in Lebanon

One of the significant problems Lebanon faces is the displacement of people due to the ongoing crisis. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Lebanon hosts around 1.5 million Syrian refugees, many of whom are children. The displacement has led to overcrowding and poor living conditions, with many families living in informal settlements without access to basic services such as water, sanitation, and healthcare.
