Overview

We want all of Ecuador’s children, mothers, and families to be able to lead healthy and productive lives, and we want the country’s most marginalized people to have opportunities to lift themselves out of poverty. To work toward these goals, we partner with the government, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

Challenge Facing Ecuador

One of the most pressing issues facing Ecuador is a significant amount of child malnutrition. According to the United Nations, approximately one in three children in the country suffer from chronic malnutrition, which can have serious long-term effects on their physical and cognitive development. Malnutrition is particularly prevalent in rural and indigenous communities, where access to nutritious food is limited.
